Marie Calabro

Marie graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management.  After graduation, she worked in Human Resources for UST Inc. before returning home to start a family.

Born and raised in Stamford, CT, Marie and her husband John decided to settle in New Canaan, CT, to raise their three beautiful children.  Currently, they are in the process of relocating to New Hampshire, where they plan to retire and split their time between living in Portsmouth and on Lake Winnepausakee.​

Marie joined ARLNH's Board of Directors in 2021.  Upon her introduction to the shelter, she commented: "I was very impressed by the facility and all the organization does for the community.  The staff is so warm and welcoming and so passionate about what they do that I immediately wanted to be a part of it!"

As a mother and a proud pet owner of an adorable Havanese named Jasper, Marie has always had a passion for caring for others. She has a strong love for animals and is delighted with the opportunity to give back to the community in her new home state by being a part of making a difference in the lives of animals at risk and in need.
