Josie joined ARLNH as the Volunteer Coordinator and a member of the Animal Care staff in 2023. She holds a degree in Social Work from UNH and previously spent seven years as the Program Manager of a group home for adults with brain injuries and developmental disabilities. While she loved working with the people in her care, the unpredictable schedule was difficult to keep up with. Finding ARLNH was just the change Josie was looking for. She now supports ARLNH’s amazing volunteers while also helping care for the shelter’s animals as they wait for their forever homes.
Josie lives in Deerfield with her two pets, both adopted from ARLNH: her feisty cat, Reese, and the best pup ever, Cricket! When she’s at home, she enjoys soaking up all the cuddles from them, reading, crocheting, and caring for her houseplants.
