Josie started at ARLNH in July as their new Volunteer Coordinator/ Animal care staff. For the past 7 years, she had been Program Manager of a group home for adults with brain injuries and developmental disabilities. After switching from Early Childhood Education to Liberal Arts, Josie went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from UNH. While she loved the people she cared for, the unpredictable schedule was hard to keep up with. Finding ARLNH was just the change Josie was looking for. She grew up around cats, dogs, chickens, and goats so her love of animals was fostered from a young age.

Josie lives in Deerfield with her senior cat, Ella, who she adopted from a shelter 4 years ago. For the past year, Josie has been the secretary for the Sandown Historical Society, in her hometown of Sandown. When she is at home she enjoys reading, crocheting, and taking care of her houseplants.
