INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTEERING

You can make a difference in an animal's life!

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at ARLNH. Our committed volunteers make ongoing contributions to our programmatic, animal, and facility needs. All volunteers are required to attend an orientation and then move on to training in various areas of the shelter.

You must complete an application. Once your application is accepted, you will receive an invitation to our next orientation or a call to schedule a day of service. Orientation sessions are offered every 4-6 weeks.

At your orientation session, you will learn about the history of the ARLNH, offered services and programs, animals under our care, staff roles, and our volunteer opportunities. At the end of the orientation, you will be brought on a tour of the shelter. We ask for a $10 orientation donation which is used to offset operational expenses and those associated with our volunteer program.
