This year's Ornament of Compassion features two adorable Beagles who were adopted from the League, Potter and Sophie!
Potter and Sophie both arrived at the League (separately) as strays, which is a common occurrence with this breed. Beagles are the fourth most common breed seen at the League (we took in over 1,800 animals last year). People who buy Beagles often don't realize how inquisitive and intelligent they are, which makes them great escape artists. Their fondness for following a scent may take them far afield and, often, they'll end up at the shelter.
